Can you tell me a little bit about yourself and your business or product?
My name is Kayode Okedigba, and I’m the creator of Framonial, a micro SaaS platform designed to help Framer users easily collect, manage, and showcase testimonials. Built entirely in Framer, Framonial simplifies gathering feedback, reviews, and testimonials. It provides users with customizable forms and premium components for displaying social proof, reviews, and even video testimonials. The platform is tailored specifically for Framer users, making it a go-to tool for creating stunning, interactive displays that fit seamlessly into their projects.
What was your main inspiration for creating Framonial?
My love for Framer and recognition of the gap in solutions tailored to testimonial collection and display inspired me to create Framonial. I wanted to empower Framer users with tools that go beyond basic functionality, offering multiple ways to showcase social proof and engage their audience. My goal was to create something that feels native to Framer, enhances user experience, and helps businesses and creators build trust.
How do you define success in your business?
Success, to me, is when users see tangible value in Framonial. When users collect more testimonials, improve their credibility, and showcase their social proof effortlessly through the platform, I know I’ve achieved my goal. Beyond that, success also means continuous improvement, listening to user feedback, and creating a sustainable business that grows alongside its community.
If you were to start again from scratch, what would you do differently?
If I were to start again, I would focus on building a solid pre-launch strategy, including early marketing and community engagement. I’d also work on simplifying the development process by prioritizing features based on user needs and starting with a leaner MVP. Additionally, I’d seek advice from mentors or industry experts earlier in the process to avoid certain missteps.
What advice would you give to someone just starting or who has the same idea of creating a tool like Framonial?
Start with your audience in mind. Build a product that solves a real problem for a specific group of people—in my case, Framer users. Keep the development process simple at first, focus on getting feedback, and be ready to iterate based on user needs. Also, leverage the community you’re building for—being part of it can help you grow organically. Finally, don’t underestimate the power of storytelling; share your journey openly to build trust and engagement.
What was the most challenging aspect of Building in Public or Indie Hacking?
One of the biggest challenges has been balancing the technical side of development with the need for consistent community engagement. Solving technical challenges while maintaining momentum on features and marketing can feel overwhelming at times, but staying organized and focusing on priorities made a big difference. Building in Public also means being transparent about both wins and struggles, which can feel daunting but is ultimately rewarding.
